Welcome to our online educational platform, catering to post-secondary students in the pursuit of expanding their academic horizons.
We offer a comprehensive Counselling Skills Diploma program, which you can embark on at any point throughout the year.
This mostly self-paced online program is approved by the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists (ACCT) to the Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) level.
Our Counselling Skills program is 9 months and 770 hours and can be completed online at your own pace. The program fee is $9700.00, with interest-free payment plans available. Books are an additional $900.00
We use Moodle, the world’s most widely used learning platform trusted by institutions such as the London School of Economics, State University of New York, Microsoft, and the Open University.

ACCT
As an Associate School with ACCT, Orca Institute is offering this program to meet ACCT’s RTC (Registered Therapeutic Counsellor) membership requirements.
We recommend that our graduate students become members of ACCT.
ACCT Membership Benefits

- Be well-positioned for possible Counsellor Regulation in BC and other non-regulated provinces.
- Qualifies members to advertise in Psychology Today.
Gratify Student Loans
Perfect for those who choose not to or cannot qualify for a Canada Student loan and would prefer to pay over 8 months at a small fee of 4% of the Total Tuition.
OTG Students
We are excited to announce our collaboration with Opening to Grace Training, which allows OTG graduates to receive training recognition and course exemptions towards our Counselling program.
Canadian Armed Forces Funding
Did you serve in the Canadian Armed Forces and plan to attend Orca Institute? If you have at least six years of service, you could be eligible for funding from Veterans Affairs Canada to cover your tuition and other expenses.
Financial Aid
Government Financial assistance is available for eligible students who are Canadian citizens or landed immigrants through the Canadian and provincial government student loan programs. Apply to Student Aid BC, or go to the Student Aid website for your Province or territory.
Métis Employment Services, Work BC, and other similar groups have funded our students. Please ask your group to if we are covered by them.
